A size 2 is not fat

Not that I approve of wearing a bikini, but give me a break! The girl is not fat and certainly quite gorgeous! I give her MAJOR CREDIT for speaking out on this issue with class and dignity. Way to go Jennifer Love Hewitt! My favorite part is the last line.

Hewitt strikes back over bikini shots

December 3, 2007, 2:21 pm PST

NEW YA size 2 is not fatORK - An angry Jennifer Love Hewitt is defending her curves after photos of her in a bikini were ridiculed on the Internet.

"I've sat by in silence for a long time now about the way women's bodies are constantly scrutinized," the 28-year-old actress writes on her Web site. "To set the record straight, I'm not upset for me, but for all the girls out there that are struggling with their body image."

The photos show Hewitt, with a bit of cellulite, on a Hawaii beach with her new fiance, Scottish actor Ross McCall.

Several sites posted the shots, along with some less-than-complimentary comments. TMZ.com, for example, said, "We know what you ate this summer, Love- everything!"

"A size 2 is not fat! Nor will it ever be," Hewitt responded in a post Thursday. "And being a size 0 doesn't make you beautiful."

"What I should be doing is celebrating some of the best days of my life and my engagement to the man of my dreams, instead of having to deal with photographers taking invasive pictures from bad angles," says the star of TV's "Ghost Whisperer" and the film "I Know What You Did Last Summer."

She wrote, "To all girls with butts, b00bs, hips and a waist, put on a bikini, put it on and stay strong."

  2. I just HAVE to say that this is a sad affair. Americans are obsessed with this weight/size thing. When I was a teenager and in early married life I weighed about 112 and wore a size 10. Read that: size 10. So somebody explain to me how I can now be about 50, will NEVER see 112 again (more like 128), and yet I go to Christopher and Banks and have to buy a size 6 or I swim in it. I don't get it! I have GAINED weight but LOST two sizes. I think somebody is cheating (the manufacturers) because so many people are unhealthily overweight. But come on! A size 0? I never heard of such a thing.

Thanks for posting unusual and interesting posts to liven up my rainy day.

I"m going to have to come back more often!

And in answer to your question: How do you do all that? (making decorations), the answer is this: There was no such thing as BLOGGING when I was homeschooling my kids. Enough said. LOL
