It is certainly an effective and FUN way to learn and remember material! All subjects can easily be integrated into a hands-on portfolio type of product. Can be very effective in unit studies, delight-directed and classical methods of home education.

You can use a manilla folder (cheap alternative to posterboard!) and refold it with the ends meeting in the middle, as shown here. Or make two of these and glue together to make a huge lapbook with lots of possibilities!
